Bir Blog Eleştirisi...

Merhaba.

Planım, Viyana, Prag ve Berlin'i görmek idi.

Zira, bu eksi on derecelik soğukta ısınmanın o an tek çözümü buydu. Berlin’in işlek caddelerinden biri olan Unter den Linden’e ulaşmıştım. Orada fazla zaman geçirmeden hostelin yolunu tutmaya karar verdim...

Checkpoint Charlie'den, Berlin'deki Türk Mahallesi: Kreuzberg'den ve yaşadığım tuhaf akşam yemeğinden kalan anılarımı sonraki Berlin yazımda sizlerle paylaşacağım.

A Blog Criticism...

Hi. The only reason of writing on the blog is that I wanna immortalize those moments back then in the near past. Cliche! By the way, I started not to trust the idea of ''the more a web site gets clicks, the more successful the blog is. Yet, it is obvious that there are lots of ways to get this kind of success on the web. I always respect the unique and pure success. However, it is also important to be powerful on the social media which is just like a dog-eat-dog world. Because of this, the criterias that should be taken into account while assessing the success of a blog are not considered important in our country. As follows; There are huge amount of bloggers who have been thinking about what to write or what to record in order to get as much as clicks they can get. So, they do not think about producing anything related to creativity. Under these circumstances, some blogs which already lost their uniqueness, which already became somebody else and which are just like each other by becoming standard has been showing up. If you are following those kind of blogs and if you are comparing them into each other, you can easily understand. In case you do not follow any blogs or something, when you start reading some of the most popular blogs, you may fall in some thoughts like '' is this the blog which was read thousands of times'' or ''this article is quite mediocre, why do people like this one so much?'' Even if the introduction is a bit different from the main point, I am coming back to the main topic of the article.

First hours in Berlin...

Today, I sat at the computer in order to talk about my memoirs from Berlin. I looked up for my notes of Berlin about what to write, and I decided to start with the very beginning of Berlin Trip. I left Italy around the Christmas Eve, and I first visited my Aunt's who are living in Germany. My plan was to visit Wien, Prague and Berlin. I was gonna visit Berlin after Prague Trip which I shared with you in my Prague article. I got into the bus at 3:30 in the morning and I reached Berlin around 08:00 in the morning. As I mentioned you in my Prague article, even if the travel which I spent my time sleeping with one eye open made me feel fatigued, I was not feeling any exhaustion when I dropped out of the bus. Then, I wended my way to a hotel chain in which I stayed in Wien. The transportation network of Berlin was encircled over the whole city just like a spider's web. Especially, the metro network is so advanced that you might have some thoughts just as ''it is obvious that this city was riddled with holes not only from the above-ground but also from the underground. Just as I dropped out of the bus, I started my journey to the metro stop which was just across the hostel. As I remember, I reached to the hostel in the early morning just by transferring once. Even if the hostel was equipped with the facilities just as hotels have, this condition did not interest me so much because of the reasons that I am gonna spend my time mainly outside of the hostel and it would be a short trip. However, I did not abandon some of my principles of staying well at a hostel.

Museums and  Brandenburg Tor...

Receptionist told me that the room is not ready for stay because of the cleaning. I was planning to rest in the room a bit, but I had to give up for this at that time. I left my backpack in the lobby and I left the hostel. Hostel was in a walking distance to the Television tower which was one of the symbols of Berlin and which can be seen neraly all around the city. I began walking towards the Television tower. The tower is situated just near to Alexander Platz square which is one of the well known squares in Berlin. When I saw the long queue of visitors who wanna go up Television tower, I gave up visiting there even if I already did not think about it so much. After messing around there a little, I came back to the hostel. The room was for eight people and the other seven people were together. I have stayed at lots of hostels. However, I rarely came across those kind of people who are acting like a cold fish. Once some of them said hello, I got that they are not mute. In my opinion, those kind of people have completely opposite characters towards hostel conception. Yet, hostel conception refers to socialness, exchange of ideas and forming spontaneous friendships. After setting up in the room, I went out again...

I checked my notes and I started visiting from closest spots to the outermost ones. The first stop was Berliner Dom. This church has the gothic architecture and it situated just near to the Spree river. Altes Museum is also next to Berliner Dom. I went inside of the Altes Museum. Even if visiting museum is a good thing to do in every destination, at that time of the condition I had back then was required to see museums fast. As you would appreciate, visiting huge museums like that in detail would cost you tens of days. The entrance part of the museum was for free to see. But, if you wanna see the other parts, it would be paid. There were statues in the free area, so I viewed some of the statues and I left there. It was freezing and I was almost shuddering. I absorbed black frost in my whole body and I felt as my feet were numb. I took some photos before the museum and I started to walk. Yet, the only solution to warm myself in the minus ten temperature was to walk. Then, I reached Unter den Linden street which is one of the busiest streets of Berlin. As it was Christmas eve, there were lots of pine trees and ornaments all around the street. I was messing around in that long and wide street with the people who were dressed to the nines looking for the luxury shops and authentic cafes. At that time, I saw the Mercedes Benz museum. I went inside thinking that not going would be a regret for me. It was free to visit. There was a shiny SLS AMG on the right side of the entrance. Some new Mercedes automobiles have been exhibited in the two-floor museum. After becoming satisfied and warming myself, I left the museum. I walked a little bit alog the street, and I saw the Brandenburg Gate as I guess. It was getting dark and the cold has been becoming freezing. The surroundings of the Brandenburg Gate was under restoration and I could not go so much close to there. Then, I decided to go to the hostel without spending so much time around there.

I am gonna share my experiences about my dinner, Checkpoint Charlie, and a Turkish Getto: Kreuzberg in the next Berlin article.

So long.
